Love & Hip Hop Hollywood’s Ray J may be back on the scene in reality TV but the let’s not forget that he’s more than just Brandy’s little brother – he’s a bona fide singer with a string of hits that you totally got down to at the club. In honor of Throwback Thursday, we’re working our way through five of Ray’s best songs that you just need to revisit today.

Up first is Ray’s single with big sis Brandy, “Another Day in Paradise” from 2001. The duet, a more R&B infused cover of the Phil Collins tune was featured on a Collins tribute album and was a hit in Europe.

Ray J’s song, “Wait a Minute” featuring Lil’ Kim is the perfect song for dancing while your cup of vodka runneth over. Peep Pharrell in the video – The Neptunes were behind this one!

His biggest mainstream hit “Sexy Can I” is memorable for featuring the Hitmaka – Ray’s Love & Hip Hop Hollywood costar Yung Berg. This one is gonna get you ready for Friday, y’all!

If there’s one thing that Ray’s songs have in common – it’s women. Ladies, ladies, ladies. The tune “Sexy Ladies,” from the thick of Ray’s time on For the Love of Ray J, is no exception. The song features rappers Truth and Shorty Mack and celebrates a woman who can make whatever she wears “look name brand.” Seriously.

In 2013, Ray J made a splash with his song, “I Hit It First.” While never 100% confirming the song is about his ex-flame Kim Kardashian, the song is about a woman who moves on to “rappers and ball players” and “went West” but don’t be mistaken…Ray J hit it first. Sounds familiar.
