Earlier this week Iggy Azalea’s rapping skills were once again questioned when a Vine of the emcee butchering a verse to her song “D.R.U.G.S.” live was posted. This got the scientists here to ponder, in a battle of the blondes, who’s the better rapper: Iggy or VH1’s own Hazel E
Hazel is an easy target on social media, being labeled “delusional” and “untalented” during Love & Hip Hop Hollywood’s first season. Her real life struggles with producer Yung Berg largely overshadowed the up-and-coming artist’s music, but backstage at the reunion she flexed some of her freestyling chops and the results weren’t embarrassing. Are they better than Iggy’s skills?
The reality star made an even more impressive showing when she spit on air on Hot 97 and compared herself to The Palm’s Filet Mignon. In February, she released the music video for her song “Everything” that instantly went viral but featured few actual bars from Hazel.
So this begs the question, who is the more legitimate artist, the Australian rapper with the southern accent or the former publicist turned reality star?
