Slash Says He's Down For A Guns N' Roses Reunion— Your Move, Axl

"We don't have all those issues anymore. It's not a lot of controversy," he says of his former bandmate.

The rift between former Guns N' Roses bandmates Axl Rose and Slash is one of the biggest and hotly discussed feuds in rock. But it seems like their relationship has softened over the years, and now the impossible may be near— a reunion of the GNR frontline.

OK, we might be getting a little ahead of ourselves. But Slash's words during his interview on CBS This Morning have given us hope. The guitarist appeared on the show to promote his "Under The Savage Sun" video, a collaboration with the International Fund for Animal Welfare to raise awareness for endangered elephants being poached for their ivory.

Of course, talk turned to his former band and his relationship with Axl. "Well, we haven't really talked in a long time, but a lot of the tension that you were talking about has dissipated. We don't have all those issues anymore. It's not a lot of controversy. It's something that is more perpetuated by the media, more than anything." So that means he's just moments away from picking up the phone and calling his former lead singer, yeah? "I've got to be careful what I say there. I mean, if everybody wanted to do it and do it for the right reasons, I think the fans would love it. I think it might be fun at some point to try and do that."

Ehhh, it's not exactly the tearful embrace we were dreaming about, but it's better than nothin'. We'll take it!
