Lemmy of Motörhead Stops a Concert Three Songs in, Says He "Can't Do It"

Get well soon, Lemmy.

Motörhead frontman Lemmy wasn't feeling well enough the other night. The band was playing a show in Austin, Texas and had barely begun their set — playing "Damage Case", "Stay Clean" and "We Are Motörhead" — when Lemmy felt that he couldn't go on any longer.

"I can't do it," Lemmy told the crowd mid-song. He was escorted off the stage. The crowd cheered for him as he left, and he later came back out to explain what was going on.

"You are one of the best gigs in America, and I would love to play for you, but I can't," he said. "Please accept my apologies. Next time, alright?"

Lemmy, who once said that he drank a bottle of Jack Daniels a day, has been having health issues for some time. He cut back on drinking in 2013, though he's still experiencing health troubles.

Get well soon, Lemmy.
