Remember yesterday’s reports about T.I. no longer working with Iggy Azalea? Well, forget all that.
In an interview with The Associated Press, Tip admitted that Iggy is still signed to his Grand Hustle label. In fact, they’re working on her sophomore project as we speak.
“That’s still my partner,” T.I. said. “Her life has taken her in a different direction. My life is still as it was before. But Iggy is doing what she feels makes Iggy happy. That’s what she should do. We’re focused on making the next Iggy record and dodge the same adversities we faced last time.”
Though Tip is still technically Iggy’s manager, he also said they don’t speak to each other is the traditional sense—they use their people. He also admitted that he and Iggy haven’t reached out to one another since reports of their strained relationship surfaced, but he has read some of her tweets about the situation.
“We speak to each other without having to speak to each other,” he said. “It’s funny sometimes, but we’re straight.”
