We're Still Crying Over Tracy Morgan's Surprise 2015 Emmy Awards Appearance

He looked amazing!

Tracy Morgan is back and he looks better than ever.

The hilarious actor made a triumphant appearance at the 2015 Emmy Awards Sunday night—his first since being involved in a car accident last June that took the life of his friend and fellow comedian James McNair. (In August, we reported Tracy's return to the spotlight would be his Saturday Night Live hosting gig next month, but we guess he couldn't wait that long. And thank goodness for that!)

Tracy looked sharp in a burgundy tux and gave a moving speech before presenting the award for Best Drama Series, which Game of Thrones won.

“Last year, Jimmy Kimmel said, we’d see you here next year, Tracy Morgan,” he said, causing the audience to applaud loudly. “Thanks to my doctors and my beautiful wife, I’m here standing on my own two feet. God bless all you for your love, prayers and positive thoughts for the past 15 months. I’m honored to be here at the Emmys.”

He continued, “It’s been a long road back. I suffered a traumatic brain injury that put me in a coma for eight days. When I finally regained consciousness, I was ecstatic to learn I wasn’t the one who messed up. Only recently I’ve started to feel like myself again.”

We're so happy to hear that. The world has been a significantly less fun place without Tracy's comedy, and we're stoked to have our dude back! He's truly one of a kind.

Tracy will host SNL Oct. 17. Mark your calendars!
