O.J. Simpson Contemplated Suicide in Kim Kardashian’s Bedroom
O.J. Simpson's 1994 Bronco freeway chase is notorious, but something even crazier happened hours before that: He contemplated committing suicide in a 14-year-old Kim Kardashian's bedroom.
American Tragedy: The Uncensored Story of the O.J. Simpson Defense author Lawrence Schiller claims in an interview with ABC News' 20/20 O.J. recorded a suicide tape in Kim's room, but was stopped by the late Kardashian patriarch Robert.
According to the interview, O.J. sat in Kim's bedroom on June 17, 1994 and recorded the tape while clutching onto photos of his late wife Nicole (who he was accused of murdering) and their two children Justin and Sydney.
"Then O.J. said, 'I'm going to kill myself in this room,' and I said, 'You can't. This is my daughter's bedroom,'" Robert, who was a lawyer in O.J.'s highly-publicized 1995 murder trial, said in a previous interview with Lawrence. "'My little girl Kim sleeps here. I can't have my little girl in this bedroom, and every time I come in here, I'm going to see your body lying in this. You can't do that.'"
Wow. So crazy, right? O.J.'s murder trial will be dramatized in the upcoming Ryan Murphy TV show American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson. Cuba Gooding Jr. will play O.J., and Friends' David Schwimmer plays Robert.
