A Crazy Fan Disrupted Keira Knightley's Broadway Debut + More Friday Dish
Keira Knightley made her Broadway debut in Thérèse Raquin Thursday night, and she didn't let a crazy fan stop her from slaying the show...although he did come close.
Sources tell E! Online an unsettled man starting yelling things like, "Christ was born of a virgin!" and "This was all looney tunes!" minutes after the play began.
Security stepped in to escort the man out but let him go briefly. The man took the opportunity to run and throw a bouquet of roses at Keira. Reportedly, they landed on the stage with a suspicious loud thud.
Keira's co-star Gabriel Ebert kicked the roses off the stage, and security removed the man from the show. The play stopped briefly after all the fuss but resumed smoothly after. Keira, however, never missed a beat. [E! Online]
