Stars Who Had Another Celebrity's Name Tattooed on Them

Remember Johnny Depp's obnoxious Winona Ryder ink?

Let me paint you a little picture. You and your bae of five days are drunk and THOTting it up at McDonald's when you get a beyond brilliant idea: What if y'all had each other's names tattooed on body parts? In your little, inebriated mind, this is a surefire way to ensure y'all's love will be everlasting. Mid-Big Mac-bite, you grab bae's arm and head to the corner tattoo shop. Two more shots and $600 later, you walk away with "John" proudly splashed across your forearm. What a tender gesture.

But then the next day you wake up, realize bae is scrub as hell and swipe him harder than a candle vlogger on Tinder. Except here's the problem: You still have his name permanently tattooed on you! Two more shots and $600 later, you have the ink removed. So much for true love.

In lesser words, this is exactly what happened to these eight celebrities. Word to the wise, folks: Getting a lover's name tattooed on you is a big mistake. Let's be real: The only thing permanent is your love for that Big Mac last night.

Angelina Jolie

Angelina's three-year marriage to Billy Bob Thornton was chock-filled with weirdness. (They wore vials of each other's blood around their necks.) So, it comes as no surprise Angelina had BB's name tattooed on her left arm. She had the ink removed and replaced it with coordinates of her family's birthplaces post-uncoupling. However, we'll never forget this.

Marc Anthony

Marc originally had Jennifer Lopez's name on his wrist, but after divorcing in 2011, he covered it with copious tomfoolery. Please see above.

Melanie Griffith

Melanie had husband Antonio Banderas' name scribed on her arm with a heart around it. But when the couple split, she had the inscription (sloppily) erased.

Rob Kardashian

We know you remember Rob's obnoxious ink of then-girlfriend Adrienne Bailon. I mean, it was huuuuge! He had a bunch of his tattoos removed on Keeping Up with the Kardashians in 2014, so luckily this blunder is just a memory.

Johnny Depp

Johnny and Winona Ryder's whirlwind romance hit a cringe-worthy fever pitch when the actor had "Winona Forever" tatted on his right shoulder. However, the Pirates of the Caribbean sex god shortened the art to "Wino Forever" after their break-up. In an interview with Playboy in 1994, Johnny said the revamped tattoo is "actually a bit more accurate." Um, yeah.

Denise Richards

Denise and Charlie Sheen had tattoos of each other's names put on their bodies in 2002. Sadly, their love wasn't as permanent, and the couple divorced in 2006 after four years of marriage. Charlie removed his Denise wrist tattoo in 2007. Denise soon followed suit, replacing her Charlie ankle ink for a whimsical fairy.

Heidi Klum

We never thought Heidi and Seal would divorce, but they called it quits in 2012. Unfortunately, Heidi's Seal arm tattoo dissolved alongside their love. (Well, almost. The photo above is post-removal, and you can still faintly make out Seal's name.)

Blac Chyna

Blac's ink is still up for debate. At first glance, we thought her tattoo was for rumored boo Future. But after Future publicly declared his single status, we're not so sure. This report from TMZ has us thinking the gesture is in tribute to the rapper, so we'll stick to our originally theory.
