The First Taste of 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2' Is Bigger and Fatter Than You Dreamed

Why you want to leave me?

Today is a fantastic day.

The trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel to My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002), aptly titled My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, dropped today. And it's bigger and fatter than your wildest dreams. There is a God, and her name is Toula Portokalos (Nia Vardalos).

The new film is chock-full of familiar faces from the original flick—John Corbett, Lainie Kazan and Michael Constantine to name a few—but we've got a fresh new story. Turns out, the priest never formalized Toula's parents' (Maria and Gus) wedding, so they've been living out of wedlock (gasp!) their entire lives. The solution? Throw a wedding—a big and fat one—to seal the deal, of course.

And how's this for a déjà vu plot point: Toula's now-grown daughter Paris (Elena Kampouris) is fed up with her overwhelming Greek family and is itching to get into a college far, far away from them. When she tells this to Toula, the OG rebel lets out an all-too-familiar cry: "Why you want to leave me?!" IT ALL COMES FULL CIRCLE.

We're so excited about this gaudy, glorious sequel. There is only one thing noticeably absent from the trailer: Windex—you know, the magical liquid the Portokalos fam swears cures all problems. Have they updated to Clorox?! Say it isn't so.

Check out the trailer, and give us your thoughts in the comments below. The film is slated for a March 25, 2016 release. Bun(t) cake not included.
