The Woman Who Couldn't Deal with Donald Trump at His Own Rally Is an American Hero

Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump is perhaps America's most polarizing figure today, but one place you'd expect him to find universal love is at his own rally. It makes sense, right? If you stan hard for Mr. Trump, go cheer him on while he spews nonsense about building walls to improve education. If you detest the man, stay at home and scoff on the couch as nature intended.

However, a woman in Springfield, Illinois shattered this perception to pieces by—wait for it—giving Donald the cold shoulder at his own rally! We have a new Internet sensation (and American hero) on our hands.

In the Vine above, watch Lady Liberty (our new name for her) minding her own business reading a book while Donald talks about something Donald-y. An older gentleman, clearly peeved by Lady Liberty's disinterest, taps her and (we think) orders her to pay attention to Mr. Trump. But Lady Liberty is having none of it. She says something to appease the old man but then goes right back to her book.

The old man shakes his head at Lady Liberty, but we salute her. In one swift movement, she echoed the sentiments of millions of Americans. It's a political moment that will go down in history. This rebel. This queen.
