Whoever said having a bun in the oven meant taking a back seat in life clearly hasn't seen these ladies in action. In fact, these pop stars make maternity leave seem like a vacation. Here are 10 epic performances by musicians who were pregnant and still managed to crush it on stage.

M.I.A at the 2009 Grammy Awards

If Best Pregnant Performance was a category at the Grammys, M.I.A would win it hands down. The rapper performed at the music awards show back in 2009 on her actual due date! She gave birth to her son, Ikhyd Edgar Arular Bronfman, just days after the event.

Beyoncé at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards

Queen B's flawless performance, which included her pregnancy announcement, goes down as one of the most iconic by an expecting musician. Let's not forget about the end result, a.k.a. Blue Ivy. Blessed.

Carrie Underwood at the 2015 CMA Awards

In addition to taking on hosting responsibilities during the 2014 CMAs, Underwood performed her hit song, "Something in the Water". Co-host Brad Paisley let it slip that Underwood was expecting a boy during the show's opening monologue.

Shakira at the 2012 FIFA Women's World Cup

Despite being a few months pregnant, Shakira delivered a high-energy performance for the 2012 Women's World Cup. The singer-songwriter didn't let her belly stop her from dancing throughout the entire song.

Christina Aguilera at Wango Tango 2014

Aguilera rocked a sexy black dress and, of course, her baby bump when delivering a killer performance of "Say Something" with A Great Big World at Wango Tango in 2014. All while wearing heels. Talk about embracing pregnancy!

Mariah Carey at Christmas in Washington in 2011

Ironically, Carey was pregnant with twins in 2011, when she performed "One Child" at the White House for the annual Christmas in Washington television special. She still managed to stun the exclusive crowd with her on-point vocals.

Ciara at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards After-party

Despite her apparent pregnancy, singer-songwriter Ciara delivered a stellar performance of hits like “Goodies” and “1, 2 Step” at last year's official Grammy after-party. A few months later, Ciara gave birth to a baby boy with rapper Future, her fiancé at the time.

Kelly Clarkson at the Staples Center in 2015

When it comes to this performance, a pregnancy announcement actually made it that much more powerful. Kelly announced her most recent pregnancy at her concert, midway through singing her title track, “Piece By Piece”, making the crowd of 20,000+ go absolutely crazy.

P!nk - November 21, 2010 at American Music Awards 2010 (Los Angeles, CA)

Pop-rocker P!nk literally owned the night at the 2010 AMAs with her performance of hit, "Raise Your Glass", while pregnant with her first child. Then again, we expected nothing less from this badass.

Alicia Keys at the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards

Even at seven months pregnant, Keys still managed to deliver a compelling rendition of her song "We Are Here", all while looking gorgeous in a silver gown and a pregnancy glow to match.
