That Metal Show: Ted Nugent Shreds, Knocks ’Em Dead

The Motor City Madman wails the walls clean off the TMS set.

Our final November visit to That Metal Show’s video vaults concludes with a Season 13 visit from the Motor City Madman himself, Ted Nugent.

As TMS co-hosts Eddie Trunk, Jim Florentine, and Don Jamieson wrap up their chat with Uncle Ted, they ask The Nuge if perhaps he wouldn’t mind plugging in and wailing out on guitar.

“Why do The Throwdown,” Don Jamieson asks, “when we could have Ted throw down?”

Ted’s typically mellow response: “As if you could stop me!”

From there, The Nuge storms the guest musician’s platforms. Visiting six-string wizard Gary Hoey graciously steps down and joins the boys on stage to watch Uncle Ted grab a Gibson and light into an extended one-man jam that blows the roof off the TMS studio.

What a way to go out!
