Omarion Goes Off on the Grammys After Seeing That "Post To Be" Wasn't Nominated
The 2016 Grammy Awards nominations have arrived and Omarion is miffed.
The singer and Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star took to Twitter this morning to express his frustration with not being nominated for "Post To Be" featuring Chris Brown & Jhene Aiko. As you know, "Post To Be" was huge this year, dominating the spring/summer seasons and peaking at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 back in May. But the Grammys have spoken, and they did not deem it worthy of a nomination.
"Post" could have easily been nominated for Best R&B Song or Best R&B Performance. The Weeknd's "Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)" was nominated in both of these categories. But "Post" missed the mark and now, Omarion feels slighted. He called his song "one of the greatest R&B collaborations ever" on Twitter, and went on to explain how hard it is to make a hit.
"I'll consistently do great things & you will have to celebrate me," he wrote. We screenshotted his tweets here for you:
As we learned with the 2015 VMA nominations, awards shows are bound to piss someone off. But note: This ish is not a rant. Moreover, Omarion will be back.
And when he comes, he wants his Grammys ready to go. What do you think about Omarion's tweets? Tell us in the comments section below.
