In dealing with the allegedly-leaked Star Trek Beyond trailer, Paramount released the real deal earlier today. Although it is blowing up on social media, Independent assures us that the trailer will “annoy the hell out of fans.” The article calls the trailer “silly,” as the tone of the movie noticeably shifts from the original that fans want to the lightness of quick one-liners, comedy and fun rock music.
We won’t really know how the die-hards are feeling until the flick is out July 22, but until then, you know they’ll be sounding off on every platform available, because what else do people have to do with their time? We dove into the madness to get a feel of the general consensus, and here’s how pissed Star Trek lovers really are right now.
star trek trying to be dumber and louder than star wars is so boneheaded that it's now the meek mill of sci fi tentpole franchises

"What's your plan for the new Star Trek?" "We'd like to lose as much money as Warner Bros. did on Dark Shadows." "I have an idea!"

Plastering the new Star Trek trailer with "From the Director of Fast & Furious" doesn't exactly instill confidence.

So I guess that new Star Trek trailer saw Guardians of the Galaxy once or twice
