Kris Jenner, David Letterman + More Celebs You Forgot Admitted to Cheating

BTW: there's a difference between getting caught and confessing.

Cheating rumors are as prevalent as Botox in Hollywood these days. And always. But what sets one tabloid cheating scandal apart from the next is when a party involved gathers the cojones to confess. We assume that celebs and their team of publicists cover up such scandals faster than Jesse James can pull down his pants, but it’s actually happened more than you thought. Without having confessed to cheating, Woody Allen wouldn’t be married to his current wife. Kris Jenner would be short a riveting plot line in her debut memoir. Bill Clinton would be… well. yeah. See what really happened when these and more celebrities not only got caught, but owned up to their infidelities.

  • Kris Jenner

    E!

The momager and walking mogul admitted to cheating on late ex-husband Robert Kardashian with a producer named Ryan in her memoir Kris Jenner… And All Things Kardashian, calling it “the biggest regret of her life.” In the book, she details the affair as having “wild sex everywhere, all the time,” and during a visit on The Tonight Show, she told Jay Leno: “When you’re very young you do a lot of stupid things and it’s probably the biggest regret of my life that I ended up having an affair.”

The actor was dating bombshell Elizabeth Hurley for eight years before he got arrested in 1995 for publicly engaging in oral sex with prostitute Divine Brown in Hollywood. Shortly after, he visited The Tonight Show, when Jay Leno asked: “What the hell were you thinking?” Grant answered: “I think you know in life what’s a good thing to do and what’s a bad thing, and I did a bad thing. And there you have it.” He and Elizabeth didn’t split until 2000. Watch his interview clip here.

  • LeAnn Rimes

LeAnn was married to Dean Sherement when she fell in love with Eddie Cibrian, who was married to Brandi Glanville. LeAnn and Eddie, who are still married, took ownership of their infidelity and in a 2012 interview with Giuliana Rancic, the singer broke down about it, saying: “I never, ever, in my heart want to hurt anyone, but I don’t think anything can separate anything that’s super-connected. You might have had so many wonderful things with each other’s spouses in your relationships, but something along the way broke that. You can’t break what’s broken already.”

  • Jesse James

Five years into his marriage to Sandra Bullock, Jesse was accused of cheating by numerous women. Soon after, he came out with a public apology, stating: “There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me.” They divorced that year. About a year later, he told Men’s Journal: “I never shied away from anything I did. I took full responsibility. I cheated on my wife. Guess what? So do millions of other men. To be honest, it was unfair for me to even be in a relationship.”

  • David Letterman

In 2009, the late show host admitted to cheating on his wife Regina Lasko with women who worked on The Late Show, including his assistant. Then, in 2013, David opened up on Oprah’s Next Chapter, saying: “I have no one to blame but myself. I think if you’re going to have a flow chart of the responsibility for this circumstance, this sex scandal, my name is at the top. I’m not sure what it means, but I’m taking responsibly for it, trying to atone for it.” He and Regina are still married.

  • David Boreanaz

In 2010, the Bones actor admitted to cheating on his wife Jaime Bergman after nine years of marriage. “I haven’t been faithful to my wife,” he told People. “Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities. I was irresponsible. I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with. She asked for money.” David and Jaime remain married.

  • Bill Clinton

OK, OK Bill Clinton and cheating are basically synonymous. His infamous denial-“I did not have sexual relations with that woman”-is engraved in your memory, but you may have forgotten that the former President did eventually come forward for cheating on wife Hilary with then-intern Monica Lewinsky, stating: “I am solely and completely responsible.”

  • Jude Law

Following tabloid reports that this actor was cheating on his girlfriend of two years Sienna Miller, with the family nanny Daisy Wright, he gave a public apology to the British Press Association. It read: “Following the reports in today’s papers, I just want to say I am deeply ashamed and upset that I’ve hurt Sienna and the people most close to us. I want to publicly apologize to Sienna and our respective families for the pain that I have caused.” Afterwards, there were allegations of Sienna’s affair with Daniel Craig, and she and Jude ultimately parted ways in 2006.

  • Tiger Woods

In November 2009, the pro golf player started getting accused of cheating on his then-wife Elin Nordegren with and by multiple women. He came forward in 2010 in a televised statement, saying: “I thought I could get away with whatever I wanted to. I felt that I had worked hard my entire life and deserved to enjoy all the temptations around me. I felt I was entitled. Thanks to money and fame, I didn’t have to go far to find them. I was wrong. I was foolish.” He and his ex-wife divorced later that year.

  • John Edwards

This former presidential candidate admitted to cheating on his late wife Elizabeth to his daughter Cate. The affair happened while his wife was battling cancer, and she passed a few years later in 2010. Cate said when he confessed, “he was very emotional.” She continued: “We hugged and I said, ’I love you’. That’s generally how it went. He was, he was upset.” Although he claimed his relationship with aide Rielle Hunter was just a fling, news later emerged that he got her pregnant.

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger

This actor-turned-politican has been forthright about his multiple affairs during his marriage to Maria Shriver, whom he tied the knot with in 1986. His infidelities include relationships with Red Sonja co-star Brigitte Nielsen and longtime housekeeper, Mildred Patricia Baena (who he fathered a son with). In 2011, he told The Times: “After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago.” Still, he admits: “I inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids.” Maria and Arnold are still undergoing their divorce, which was filed in 2011.

  • Kristen Stewart

We all saw the pics of K. Stew getting down with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, while she was dating Robert Pattinson in 2012. The day the photos surfaced, she issued a public apology that read: “I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.” She and Rob split two years later.

  • Woody Allen

Woody Allen’s infidelity was obvious because he ended up putting a ring on his mistress. In 1992, he became romantically involved with Soon-Yi Previn, the adopted daughter of his then-girlfriend Mia Farrow, and married her in 1997. He admits he thought their relationship was “just a fling” when it began. “It wouldn’t be serious, but it had a life of its own,” he said. “And I never thought it would be anything more. Then we started going together, then we started living together, and we were enjoying it.” They are still married today.

  • Jason Aldean

In 2012, Jason admitted to cheating on his wife Jessica Ussery via Facebook. He said: “The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that’s the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I’m not perfect, and I’m sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support.” The woman, former American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr, married Jason this year. Jason also thinks we should all “get over” his infidelity.

Are you surprised at how many of these couples came forward? Or by those rocked by an affair still attempted to “make it work”? Should these cheating partners be forgiven? Sound off in the comments below.
