You'll Never Guess Who Is Remaking 'Tales From the Crypt'

This will be good.

Horror fans, get excited: Tales From the Crypt is getting a reboot.

Yes, the creepy HBO '90s anthology series will be remade for TNT as part of its new two-hour horror block this fall. And the mastermind at the head of it? None other than scary flick maestro M. Night Shyamalan.

M. Night will "curate" all the short and long-form content going into this remake, which means we are in for some pretty frightening shenanigans. “To be part of such a beloved brand like Tales From the Crypt, something I grew up watching, and to also have the chance to push the boundaries of genre television as a whole, is an inspiring opportunity that I can’t wait to dive into,” the director said.

In case you don't know the dish on Tales, it's a Twilight Zone-esque series hosted by the menacing-looking Crypt Keeper, who we included below for your viewing (dis)pleasure.

But it's not going to be two straight hours of just Tales From the Crypt. TNT chief Kevin Reilly says the time block will be filled with horror content in the spirit of the classic show. “It’s not a show, it’s an umbrella for what will hopefully be many shows," Kevin said, per EW.com. "We’re going to put a variety of different genre shows…all united under the Tales from the Crypt brand. Night is definitely going to direct the first one and we’ll see how that evolves. And we’re definitely going to utilize the underlying comics.”

Sounds intriguing. Are you excited for the reboot? Sound off in the comments.
