10 Things You Didn't Know About Iggy Azalea

It's Iggy Iggs.

Iggy Azalea is a lot like Taylor Swift. Some love her, some hate her, but you can't deny her major success as a mainstream artist. Even though the recently engaged rapper just called off her second headlining tour, we're sure it won't be the last we hear from her. There's still much to learn about Iggy Iggs, and these 10 facts are proof of that. We didn't think it was possible to have an "It's complicated" relationship with a pizza chain.

Her first date with fiancé Nick Young was at Target.

The "Fancy" rapper dished to Power 106 FM in April 2014 that she made Young take her to Target before going on their first dinner date. "I had just moved into a new place that day [of our date], so I was like, 'I kind of need to get some essentials,' like tissue paper," Azalea said. "I needed to get a feel of what kind of home-wear he wants and what kind of snacks he likes, what kind of candle scents he's into." Crunchy vs. smooth peanut butter is a deal breaker, after all.

She used to hitchhike frequently as a youngin'.

In November 2013, Azalea told Complex some of the crazy shenanigans she got into as a child. And, of course, it included bumming rides off strangers. "Hitchhiking was something I would do all the time as a kid," she told the magazine.

Her song "Black Widow" was first made for Katy Perry.

The 2014 smash was originally intended for Perry's 2013 album Prism, but it didn't make the cut.

She has a love/hate relationship with Papa John's pizza.

In May 2014, BuzzFeed reported Azalea said this about the famous pizza chain: “I eat [Papa John’s] like five times a week. No joking. It doesn’t try to be something that it’s not. Like, Domino’s tries to be fancy [with] herbs on top — it wants to do too much. It’s trying to trick you into thinking it’s something that it’s not. I’m not ordering pizza for that. If I want f-cking gourmet pizza, there are places to get it. I order Papa John’s because I want shit pizza and I want it to be really doughy and I want a fuck-ton of cheese. I want complete shit. Papa John’s is fine being that for me.”

However, this past February, Azalea declared Twitter war on PJ's when a delivery guy gave out her personal cell phone number. "#ProfessionalAsFuck," she sarcastically tweeted. Jeez, and we thought Carrie and Big's relationship was toxic.

Her favorite color is purple.

It makes sense, considering her real name is Amethyst.

She shares a Billboard record with the Beatles.

When Azalea's hit "Fancy" reached No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in May 2014, she was also occupying the No.2 spot as a featured artist on Ariana Grande's "Problem." A little band called The Beatles also accomplished this in 1964 with their songs "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and "She Loves You." And they're the only two acts in history to do it. That's pretty good company, Iggy.

She pulls style inspiration from The Nanny.

According to the People's Choice Awards, Azalea considers The Nanny's Ms. Fran Fine (Fran Drescher) one of her fashion icons. In July 2012, she even did her nails like the "gaudy, New Jersey, two-piece suit, '90s style" queen. (Azalea's words, not ours).

She's IRL friends with Rita Ora.

They make sweet music together, but these "Black Widow" singers are actually friends. “A few years ago, when she was virally massive, I saw her on YouTube and I asked her to open up for me, so she actually opened up for me in Europe,” Rita revealed to Ryan Seacrest in August 2014. “And now we’re managed by the same person. It’s nice to find a friend in the same business who is real.” If that's not cute enough, check out their MTV friend faceoff from May 2014. #FriendshipGoals

She enjoyed Roald Dahl's books while growing up. (And Matilda was one of her faves.)

"I liked the story," she told BuzzFeed. "Maybe it’s because they were always a little bit dark in their undertones. They were really interesting and had lovable characters and weren’t cheesy.”

She co-directed the "Pretty Girls" music video.

...Which can either be seen as a good or bad thing.
