These Wonderfully Awkward Terrence Howard Moments Will Brighten Your Day
For half his life, Terrence Howard has been dazzling us on screen in hits like Crash and Hustle & Flow—not to mention the small screen titan Empire. However, there is something more important than his acting triumphs: His cringeworthy non-scripted moments. And there are a ton of 'em.
From forgetting his speech at the 2015 Academy Awards to kissing a confused Taraji P. Henson and waging a war against toilet paper, there is no denying this fact: Howard is an awkward individual. And we love him for it. Check out his most questionable (and priceless) moments.
When he fumbled his way through presenting at the 2015 Academy Awards.
Clearly, The Imitation Game is the way to this man's heart. Howard loves the movie so much he forgot his entire speech while introducing it at the 2015 Oscars. There was also a weird audio snafu that set the Internet on fire the next day. What the hell was this? (Besides iconic, of course.)
The time he kissed Taraji P. Henson at the 2015 Emmy Awards, and she was not into it at all.
Like, she literally wiped his saliva from her skin. No love for T?!
When he talked about Oprah Winfrey's breasts like a 13-year-old.
When discussing his love scene with Queen O in The Butler, Howard talked emphatically about her "tig ol' bitties" and how it was "wonderful" to work with such "a voluptuous woman." That's right: Tig. Ol'. Bitties.
The time he didn't understand math.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Howard tried to be a mathematician...and failed miserably. “If one times one equals one that means that two is of no value because one times itself has no effect," he said. "One times one equals two because the square root of four is two, so what’s the square root of two? Should be one, but we’re told it’s two, and that cannot be.” It's a good thing he is a slay-worthy actor.
When he admitted he is anti-toilet paper.
Howard chatted with Elle magazine in 2007 and expressed an extremely aggressive opinion about toilet paper. Yes, toilet paper. According to Howard, women who have toilet paper in their bathrooms in lieu of baby wipes are not 100 percent clean. "It's just unclean," he said. "So if I go in a woman's house and see the toilet paper there, I'll explain this. And if she doesn't make the adjustment to baby wipes, I'll know she's not completely clean." This is offensive, but it's also just damn crazy. ???
