Ariana Grande Slams Media Sexism, Misogyny in Empowering Feminism Tweet

“Being empowered is not the same as being a b–ch.”

After her breakup with Big Sean, it seems the media has had more focus on Ariana Grande's love life instead of shining light on the high quality of music she is creating right now, and she has had enough. I agree!

Early Sunday, Grande went on Twitter and laid the smackdown on media sexism, misogyny, and women's freedom of speech without being symbolized as a b–ch. She states, “being empowered is not the same as being a b–ch,” and “tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man’s past, present, or future property/possession."

The entire letter is extremely powerful, insightful, and a great moment for feminism. Read it, retweet it, share it. Everyone needs to be aware and conscious of these issues and show respect to female artists who are creating inimitable top level art. Thank you Ariana!
