Kyrie Irving Sends Love to Kehlani, Says the Photo Was "Misunderstood"

Clarity at last.

Kyrie Irving is breaking his silence to shed light on what you really want to know about that one photo from earlier this week.

The Cleveland Cavalier took to Twitter last night to offer words of support for ex-girlfriend Kehlani, who was apparently hospitalized on Monday night for what is thought to have been an attempted suicide. "Nothing but love and compassion over this way for her and her family," Irving wrote, adding that his sole focus right now is his sport. He also clarified the status of his relationship with Kehlani at the time the photo, thought to be of PARTYNEXTDOOR and Kehlani in bed together, came out.

"I do not justify the picture or what dude did to try and spark all of this non sense that could have been avoided, but Me and Kehlani were not dating when the picture came out," Irving wrote. "It's unfortunate that it's received so much attention but its become bigger because of a post that was misunderstood," he added. You can view the since-deleted tweets here, captured by The Shade Room.

Irving's words offer a different story than the one created by those who say Kehlani cheated on him (not to mention those who were quick to slut-shame her).

Social media is a fast-moving, confusing and often detrimental world. Irving's tweets serve as a source of positivity and clarity to what has been a heartbreaking and messy story.

Post with caution, friends.
