Mischa Barton Getting Voted off 'Dancing with the Stars' Is the Best Thing That's Ever Happened to Her
Mischa Barton is many things—pretty person and Ring of Endless Light star included. But as it turns out, she is not a dancer.
Barton was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars last night after what Fox News brutally dubbed a "disastrous three weeks on the show." Barton explained her overall negative experience with DWTS on DWTS, revealing that her being on the show was "on a scale of one to bad, bad."
"I really thought that we were gonna nail that dance," Barton says in the above DWTS video. As she's saying this, the video flashes to a scene of her and her dancing partner, Artem Chigvintsev, dancing entirely out of sync. "I felt terrible. That's my worst case scenario," Barton continues.
The video then shows her talking to Chigvintsev backstage, telling him she was relying on him to "make it a positive experience." Perhaps this can be a lesson to us all: Never rely on someone else to make your experience positive because it just might end up being crap.
"I can't do another week of this. It's horrible for me," Barton continues in the video, visibly upset. She then relates her DWTS experience to that of being on The O.C. "It was the year 2008 and The O.C. was at its prime and I just felt like I was in a machine and I couldn't really get off," she says. NOTE: The O.C. ended in 2007. Its prime arguably happened before this time.
It sounds like Barton's time on DWTS was totally miserable, but thankfully for her, it's over. Things do get better. But maybe for the time being, Barton should stay away from TV. It seems as though her experiences on the small screen cause her nothing but agony.
