Lyor Cohen Rushed to Hospital After Suffering Pulmonary Embolism

He's still able to snapchat though.

Veteran music executive Lyor Cohen was hospitalized on Saturday after suffering a pulmonary embolism, according to Hip-Hop Wired. The 300 Entertainment CEO went on Snapchat to share his medical scare with his fans, as well as shout out his son for saving his life.

“If it wasn’t for my son, and my best friend Norm, I would have been a goner,” said Cohen, who is seen wearing an oxygen mask, in one of his video messages. He continues saying his doctors told him that if he had waited four more hours to seek medical attention he would have been a “goner.”

For the people who don't know, pulmonary embolism is the blockage of a blood vessel in the lungs, usually by a bloodclot, that can cause death if large enough not treated immediately. It’s what killed Heavy D. Also, in an ironic twist, Cohen said his doctor’s first name is Khalid. “You’re not DJ Khaled are you?” Cohen jokingly asks.

We wish Mr. Cohen, whose 300 Entertainment roster includes Young Thug, Fetty Wap and Migos, a speedy and healthy recovery.
