Celebrities React to Prince’s Death on Social Media

"Numb. Stunned. This can't be real."

The world is still in shock over pop star Prince’s sudden death, which TMZ reported Thursday (April 21). Prince’s body was found at his Paisley Park compound and, after failed CPR, he was pronounced dead at 10:07 a.m. Thursday. He was 57 years old–a true music legend gone too soon.

And that’s what many celebrities are echoing on social media in light of this tragedy. Everyone from Justin Timberlake to Shonda Rhimes has tweeted or posted a loving message about Prince. The late icon touched many people in Hollywood–musicians and non-musicians alike.

“It’s unreal. It’s surreal. I miss him dearly,” Sheila E said today on Good Morning America.

“It is impossible to imagine him not being here,” Sheena Easton told People. “The world of music was forever changed the day he picked up his guitar. His talent was breathtaking, his heart was kind, and all of us have been blessed to have had a glimpse into this sweet and magical soul.”
