Prince's Ex-Wife Manuela Testolini Is Opening a School In the Music Legend's Memory

"My heart aches that the school will now be built in his memory."

Prince's first ex-wife Mayte Garcia opened up about her relationship with him on VH1's Hollywood Exes but now Prince's second wife Manuela Testolini is speaking out since the loss of the music legend telling Entertainment Tonight she is "heartbroken beyond words."

Of their relationship together, Testolini said,

Prince and I had a magical journey together and I loved him immensely. I knew him as a husband, friend and fierce philanthropist. Philanthropy brought us together and it was Prince that encouraged me to start my own charity over 10 years ago.

The couple met and married in 2001 and divorced in 2006. Testolini has continued her philanthropic work and married musician Eric Benet in 2011. She reportedly just spoke with Prince last week to inform him she was building a school in his honor. She told ET, "I just reached out to [Prince] a few days ago to let him know that I was building a school in his honor. My heart aches that the school will now be built in his memory."

Testolini told ET that she is not sure where the school will be because she was hoping her famous ex would have chosen the location.

Some may remember that Testolini actually has a friendship with Prince's first wife Mayte. On Hollywood Exes Mayte admitted, "Manuela and I bonded over our shared experience. There's no other person that can understand what I went through, so we have a lot in common."
