It’s moments like these that make you remember how narrow-minded people can be.
Retailer Old Navy posted an ad over the weekend that caused many to get their panties in a bunch. The brand was promoting its “Thank You Event” by offering customers 30% off their purchases (gotta love sales like this one) and tweeted the following, a photo (presumably from Old Navy’s latest ad campaign) that seems to be depicting an interracial family.

As they are apt to do, Twitter trolls went berserk over the photo, spewing racist nonsense and declaring that they will take their hard-earned coins elsewhere from here on out.

But in the midst of all of the bad, something wonderful began. People started posting their support for Old Navy and interracial couples tweeted photos of themselves in response to the ad’s backlash.

What we all know to be true has once again been reaffirmed: Love wins, no matter what. Keep on keeping on, Old Navy. We’re here for it.
Now if you’ll excuse us, we need to know what this well dressed couple is wearing in the ad. *Adds orange and white scarf to cart*
