Twitter is Having a Field Day With #ChickenTrump After Donald Trump Backs Out of Debate With Bernie Sanders

Twitter has once again targeted its fangs toward Donald Trump on Saturday. Despite his initial promise, the Republican frontrunner backed out of his scheduled California debate with Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders, thus inspiring the viral Twitter hashtag #ChickenTrump.

Trump's campaign put a statement regarding his cancellation. It states, "Based on the fact that the Democratic nominating process is totally rigged and Crooked Hillary Clinton and (Debbie) Wasserman-Schultz will not allow Bernie Sanders to win, and now that I am the presumptive Republican nominee, it seems inappropriate that I would debate the second-place finisher," reads a statement from Trump's campaign."

Twitter took it as an L for Trump and seized the opportunity to blast Trump without holding back. Even comedian Sarah Silverman joined in on the slander. Check out a few hilarious tweets below.
