Is Childish Gambino Teasing His Next Album With Mysterious New App?

Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino has returned to the realm of social media Friday after a surprise tweet. The tweet itself was a link to a new mysterious app called Pharos Earth. After downloading the app, it opens to an animated video of space travel with distorted audio on loop. In the bottom right hand corner of the app a clock appears counting down. But to what?

It can't be to his new FX show Atlanta, because that airs in September. We know Gambino is working on an album thanks to an accidental leak months ago, and its been three years since his last studio project Because of the Internet. It's about time for his junior album.

As of now, there are a little bit over 5 hours left of the countdown, and as the hours go by a planet appears closer and closer and the looped music becomes clearer. Maybe it's a new single. I guess we'll have to wait and find out. Download the mystery app here.
