The First Lady of America honors the First Ladies of Rap.

Missy Elliott and Queen Latifah have been showered with praise during tonight's VH1 Hip Hop Honors: All Hail the Queens; however, this shout-out from Michelle Obama might be the best shine of all.

America's First Lady made an appearance during HHH--via pre-taped video--and said some wonderful things about Elliott and Queen Latifah, who she views as both friends and icons.

"I'm so grateful to you for your passion and your contributions to our world, and I can't wait to see everything you'll continue to achieve in the years ahead," Obama said.

One of those contributions is to Obama's Let Girls Learn initiative, which works toward giving the 62 million girls who aren't in school a proper education.

"I'm so proud of the two of you because through your music and your activism--including your support of our Let Girls Learn initiative--you all are empowering young women around the world to believe in themselves and fulfill their boundless promise."
