Logan Browning is having a good day! An adaptation of Justin Simien’s Dear White People has been greenlit as a Netflix series with the Hit the Floor actress as its leading lady.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Browning will play a character by the name of Samantha White, an outspoken biracial student. The character, originally played by Tessa Thompson in the film, faces challenges as several of her peers at a predominately white Ivy Leaugue school look to her to be the voice of the black student body. Unfortunately, Samantha is still struggling to find a voice of her own.
Dear White People is set to air ten episodes in 2017.
