Donald Trump officially accepted the GOP nomination for the U.S. presidency last night at the Republican National Convention. We’re not sure which part of his speech served as a breaking point for some—whether it was Trump’s claim to “make our country rich again” or the bit where he flat out called the tragic shooting in Orlando “no good”—but it seems as though the Republican nominee freaked people (most likely Democrats) out. And the proof is in the tweets.
We pulled some of Twitter’s most baffled reactions to Trump’s RNC speech that made people wish daughter Ivanka would get back up on that stage. Check out what Twitter had to say about Trump at last night’s convention here.
Wait. Did trump just give a shoutout to Bernie sanders and try to take some of his platform? pic.twitter.com/doGsI1NQM9

"Anyone who endorses violence, hatred or oppression is not welcome in our country and never will be." Did Trump just disinvite himself?

That wasn't a convention. It was something closer to a lynch mob. Republicans, you should hang your heads in shame.

Clearly the hypocrisy in much of Trump’s speech was not missed by those woke enough to notice it. One particular line that stood out is when Trump vowed to his audience that “anyone who endorses violence, hatred or oppression is not welcome in our country and never will be.” Whet?! Sit with that one for a minute. Now click here to see Trump endorse violence and hatred.
