Demi Lovato opened up about her mental illness struggles in an empowering speech at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia Monday night (July 26).

The singer–who has bipolar disorder and struggled with bulimia and self-harm, according to USA Today–passionately told the DNC crowd that Hillary Clinton is the only presidential candidate who will work toward giving all Americans proper treatment for their mental illnesses.
