Introducing: Kobe Bryant, venture capitalist.

Kobe started the morning off by ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Now, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that the five-time NBA champion has launched a venture capital firm, Bryant Stibel.

The Los Angeles-based firm has a $100 million fund and plans to invest in media, technology, and data companies. The firm is a co-venture with Bryant's partner, entrepreneur and brain scientist Jeff Stibel. They'll be adding to a list of investments that already includes sports website The Players Tribune, legal services company Legal Zoom, a juicing company, and a video game designer.
