Gene Wilder, Iconic 'Willy Wonka' Actor, Dies at 83

The world mourns the loss of a legend.

We've lost another great. Gene Wilder, star of classic films like Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Blazing Saddles, and Young Frankenstein, has died. He was 83.

Wilder passed in Stamford, Connecticut on Sunday. Has family has stated that complications due to Alzheimer's disease were the cause of death.

Hollywood has taken to Twitter in droves to honor the late actor.

...has shared a heartfelt message on social media. Wilder's close friend and frequent collaborator, Mel Brooks, expressed his condolences as well.

Wilder also worked alongside comedy legend Richard Pryor on multiple occasions. Pryor passed in 2005.
