Johnny Depp Just Landed a Role in the Upcoming Thriller About Tupac and Notorious B.I.G.

Filming starts later this year.

There are plenty of conspiracies surrounding the murders of Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. Upcoming film Labyrinth is about the conspiracy that the LAPD had more to do with the legendary rappers' deaths than most people know.

Johnny Depp will be starring in the film as detective Russell Poole, who provided the source material for the book LAbyrinth: A Detective Investigates the Murders of Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G., the Implication of Death Row Records' Suge Knight, and the Origins of the Los Angeles Police Scandal.

Poole investigated the murders of Tupac and Biggie and ultimately believed that “gangsta cops in his own force were not only involved but were also tied to Death Row Records and the Bloods street gang." Poole's findings led to a falling out with the LAPD chief and forced him into early retirement.

With the 20-year anniversary of both Tupac and Biggie's deaths approaching, this story could not be more timely. Filming begins later this year.
