Tami Roman may have put on her manager hat this season of Basketball Wives LA to steer her daughter Jazz’s rap career but this ain’t Tami’s first time on the momager merry-go-round.
In a throwback clip from season three of the original Basketball Wives, Tami brought both Jazz and Lyric to meet a few industry bigwigs, including Eric Nicks and August Rigo. While they’re willing to give the ladies a shot they are quick to say, “If it’s not hot, that’s what we have the delete button for” and then suggest they can write material for the young women. Tami’s not feeling this attitude at all, and says as her daughters’ manager they are talented, they can sing and they can write and she will go to bat for them any day. Just like a good mom, and manager should! “I respect y’all, y’all is the s–t, k? I’ll give you that but at the same time, we brought them to you so that you could help them be better, not create for them. Not take over.” Do you think Tami’s girls have what it takes to really make it in the industry? Is Tami the next Kris Jenner?
Keep up with Tami and Jazz’s latest collaboration on an all new episodes of Basketball Wives LA, Sunday at 8/9c.
