It’s been almost a year since Playboy made the milestone decision to stop publishing nude photos. Now the iconic magazine has featured a Muslim American woman in its pages for the first time.

Noor Tagouri is a news anchor for Newsy and is featured in Playboy for its “Renegades” series.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at history-making shoot.

Her goal is to be become “the first hijabi anchor on commercial U.S. television.” She’s on her way and upfront about challenges she’ll face to make that happen.

“The biggest challenge I face as a storyteller is the process of getting people to trust you enough to tell their stories,” she told Playboy.

We think she’ll be able to pull it off, but once she earns the nation’s trust, then what?

“I will have succeeded in effecting change when all girls realize they can do anything they want without having to sacrifice who they are as a person,” she said, closing out the interview.

Here’s to Noor Tagouri’s forthcoming success.
