The Atlanta rapper takes on police brutality.

Several artists expressed their support for the Black Lives Matter movement and urged fans and viewers to get out and vote in the upcoming November elections at the BET Hip-Hop Awards 2016. T.I. was included. The Atlanta rapper performed his powerful hit “Us or Else,” a song that discusses the injustices taking place in America following the police shooting that claimed the lives of Black Americans like Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.

The performance included a Black Lives Matter protest being interrupted by two white officers with imagery of iconic Black leaders like Malcom X and Martin Luther King. "Its the time to unite. Do or die. It's us or else. They can't kill us all," T.I. raps before ending his bold but necessary performance.
