A Pussybow Movement Is Happening in Support of Hillary Clinton

The best fashion statement we've seen during the election.

By Jasmine Washington

Pussybows have somehow managed to become THE fashion statement of the 2016 presidential election. Not for their sophistication or historic nature (they were all the rage back in the 1890's), pussybows have risen in popularity due to lewd comments made by presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Trump's wife Melania Trump, who has made headlines for all the wrong reasons during the election, wore a pussybow blouse to two of the three presidential debates after footage revealed that her hubby proudly gushed about grabbing women "by the pu--y."

Did you feel that irony grab you by the...?

Actress and proud Hillary Clinton supporter, Emma Stone clapped back at the Republican nominee's comments by rocking a pussybow of her own. Stone sported a pussybow while attending the Middleburg Film Festival in Virginia and sealed her shade with a Hillary Clinton 2016 button.

Stone's hairstylist, Mara Roszak, even chimed in on the hilarity writing, "Emma and her Don't Grab My Pussy take Middleburg Film Fest #werewithher," on Instagram.

The actress is not alone. Pop superstar Miley Cyrus put her own spin on the pussybow trend. The eccentric songstress paired a gigantic sparkling blue pussybow bralette with a red and white stripped skirt while campaigning for Clinton at George Mason University.

In other election news, Donald Trump is reportedly trailing Hillary Clinton 12% in current polls.

This is the third episode of our new Behind the Vote digital series. Carri Twigg, Marc Lamont Hill and New York Times’ Yamiche Alcindor discuss the issue of criminal justice in this election.
