Today is an end of an era. The Vine era. On Thursday (October 27) Twitter revealed that they are pulling the plug on the its six-second video platform in the coming months. They didn’t disclose why they are shutting down the popular app, but they did share a Medium post thanking the creators.
While initially mocked when it was launched in January 2013 for offering only six-seconds of video time, the service quickly found a following, creating huge entertainment stars including King Bach, Nash Grier, and many more. Of course Twitter users took this as a time to remember their favorite six seconds videos to ever grace our timelines before they are gone for good. Check them all out below, and prepare to LOL.
