Patti LaBelle’s legendary sweet potato pies aren’t the only thing we can expect from her this holiday season. The iconic singer with the unmistakable voice will be performing at VH1 Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night.
Yes! The music great will be spreading yuletide joy alongside a very dear family member, Mariah Carey, who was previously announced as a performer.
Miss Patti is thrilled to join forces with Carey on stage to help the Divas franchise make a triumphant return after a four-year hiatus. LaBelle proudly beamed, “I’m so thrilled to share the VH1 Diva’s stage with Mariah, who is not only an incredible performer, but also my goddaughter.”
Performing at VH1 Divas special is hardly a new feat for LaBelle, her first DIVAS performance took place in Las Vegas in 2004, when she headlined the benefit concert for VH1 Save the Music Foundation alongside performers such as Gladys Knight and Cyndi Lauper. When it comes to Christmas, LaBelle has two holiday records under her belt – “This Christmas” (1990) and “Miss Patti’s Christmas” (2007) and a two-part Cooking Channel special dedicated to her popular homemade pies this holiday season.
VH1 Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night will be taped December 2nd at the King’s Theater in Brooklyn and will air Monday, December 5th at 9pm on VH1. Stay locked in for as more guests will be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
