Rapper, actor and producer Donald Glover's new comedy series Atlanta snagged one of the first big wins of the night at the 2017 Golden Globes. The new series, which just wrapped up their first season, took home best TV Comedy beating out fan favorites like Veep and Black-ish.

“This is incredible,” a stunned and honored Donald declared during his acceptance speech. “I want to thank Atlanta and all the black folks in Atlanta, for real. For being alive and being amazing people.” While giving thanks, Donald was backed by the show's cast and crew.

That wasn't all...Donald gave a lovely random shout out to the Migos for their hot new single "Bad and Boujee" for no other reason than it being a dope, which we certainly can't argue with. That instant shoutout made the song trend on Twitter instantly.

Atlanta has been met with overwhelmingly positive reviews since it's pilot episode premiered on September 6th. The series has been getting huge love thanks to the excellent cinematography and soundtrack. We're hanging on edge waiting for season 2!

From Issa Rae to Donald Trump to Kanye and Kim, 2016 was full of many highs and lows.
