Tattoo Tales: Find Out The Meanings (And Hidden Locations) of the Tattoos Covering the Ladies of 'Black Ink Crew'

"I love doing tattoos, but I hate getting them."

Every tattoo has a tale, and the ladies of Black Ink Crew share theirs in this web exclusive.

Dutchess gets emotional in speaking on the meaning behind her tattoos because the inspiration was someone near and dear to her heart. While filming Black Ink, Dutchess reveals that she lost her grandmother last year, and that part of her life was never revealed on the show. It was because of her grandmother that Dutchess even continued on Black Ink, which is why her rose tattoos mean so much to her.

Young Bae has hella flower tattoos but one just won't go away. After dropping about 6 Gs on a removal, the tat Bae got for her now ex-husband still won't go away. She has a trick for that, though. She shares her plan to cover what's left of that reminder with a coverup of more roses, a skull, and maybe even a snake. Shorty doesn't even like roses, but Chanel bag tats seem tacky.

"Nothing that is complete breathes" is tatted on Kitty's thigh and it resonates with her everyday. She speaks on her struggles with feeling the need to be perfect all the time. Clearly that's an unattainable goal which is why that tat is a reminder that everyone is a work in progress, so let that pressure up a bit.

Tiffany explains that she lost an aunt to domestic violence and has a whole side tat dedicated to her. Tiff was very close with her aunt and even recounts an ominous phone call she received from her the day before she was passed. She still regrets that maybe if she did something different, her aunt would still be here today.

There's a lot of meaning behind that ink! Don't miss an all new Black Ink Crew, next Wednesday at 8/7c.
