Making history and throwing shade at the same time.

Alec Baldwin made his return to Saturday Night Live with more than just another hilarious dig at President Donald Trump. The veteran actor made history hosting the show for a record breaking 17th time.

Reflecting on his journey with SNL Baldwin explained, "This is my 17th time. That's an achievement that only comes if you're a comedy icon like Steve Martin, or an enduring character actor like John Goodman, or if you were lucky enough to be in the car in 1987 when Lorne Michaels ran over the guy selling oranges by the side of the highway." "But I'm proud to say that 17 is the all-time record," he added.

Once the formalities were out of the way, it was back to business as usual with Baldwin mocking President Trump after the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals blocked his recent immigration ban. SNL's Vladimir Putin and Steve Bannon also made cameos in the sketch.

Melissa McCarthy reprised her epic role as Press Secretary Sean Spicer. McCarthy kept the jokes coming as she slammed a New York Times reporter and even used a Barbie doll and leaf blower as props.
