Adele Stopped Live TV Like a Boss During Her Heartfelt Tribute to George Michael

She can get all the do-overs she wants.

When accidents happen on live television most accept it and move on. Time is everything, but not for Adele. While performing a powerful tribute to George Michael at the 2017 Grammys, the British vocal powerhouse paused and then hit rewind on her performance after a minor mishap for a fresh do-over.

"I know it's live TV," she said. "I can't do it again like last year. I'm sorry for swearing and I'm sorry for starting again. Can we please start it again? I'm sorry, I can't mess this up for him. I'm sorry. I can't. I'm sorry for swearing. I'm really sorry."

While her set did not go as planned, it will certainly go down as one of her most memorable. She went on and performed a haunting, slow version of Michael's "Fastlove," leaving fans flooding timelines with "crying face emojis" and praise.
