Things keep getting better and better for Atlanta star and creator Donald Glover. Fresh off of two big wins at the Golden Globe awards and landing a role in an upcoming Star Wars installment, Glover has now nabbed a leading role in the recreation of Disney's 1994 classic The Lion King.

Disney director Jon Favreau used a famous song lyric from the movie to announce Glover's role as Simba.

Acclaimed actor James Earl Jones, whose voice was used in the original film and two followup sequels, will reprise his role as Mufasa in the upcoming movie.

The Lion King now joins the likes of Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and The Jungle Book as classic Disney films that have been rebooted.

An official release date for the remake has yet to be announced.
