Another love bites the dust. After a little over a year of dating, actor Orlando Bloom and singer Katy Perry have officially called it quits. Despite the famous exes most recent sighting at the Vanity Fair Oscar’s party this past Sunday, their reps released a joint statement about the couple’s current relationship status.
“Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.”
Sounds amicable enough. According to an onlooker from the VF Oscar’s party, with the exception of the exes posing for photos, Bloom and Perry practically spent the majority of the event at opposite of ends of the room, mingling with their friends.
In the past, Orlando, 40, has been candid about his plans for the future with the 32-year-old singer. It’s even been cited that the divorced dad of one had high hopes to start a new family with Katy. He apparently has not been serious about a woman since his 2013 divorce from model Miranda Kerr.
Despite Orlando and Katy’s countless outings back in 2016, including campaigning for former presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton back in November, it appears that the two will be spending way less time together this year.
Hopefully they can still be friends.
