' Black Ink Crew' Rewind: He Definitely Likes It, So Why Won't Melody's Boyfriend Lalo Put A Ring on It?

Baby Kai's three-month birthday celebration goes from being excited about cupcakes to being pissed about marriage in under two minutes.

Melody couldn't find a nanny in time to join the rest of the crew of Puerto Rico so she's hanging back with her family in the meantime. When her friend Olivia brings up marriage to Melody and her boyfriend Lalo, Melody playfully asks him if he would marry her. The conversation gets serious real quick when Lalo downplays the significance of getting married. He tells Melody that his son will always be his son but there's no way he's getting married because that's basically a prison sentence. Melody gets confused when he brings up lawyers, questioning why he's anticipating their break up. He explains that he's never seen a successful marriage and that she should just let the conversation go because he's not going to marry her.
