Booker took to Twitter expressing his love for the show despite the shade Kaling's character Mindy Lahari threw his way, and Kaling surprisingly replied.

Stunned by Kaling's response, Booker decided to shoot his shot with the actress.

Kaling agreed to dinner with the senator, but with one condition.

Booker took one look at Kaling's request and offered to provide her with a personal chauffeur via Lyft.
