Lamar Odom Says His Drug Use and Cheating Were to Blame For His Divorce From Khloe Kardashian
Lamar Odom is clean, sober and keeping it all the way 100.
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, the former NBA player and and ex-husband of Khloe Kardashian admits that he couldn't shake his demons while married to the reality star. He admits to feeling like he "cheated death" after being found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel. He woke up four days after the incident unable to walk or talk and in complete disarray. "[Khloe] played a major role in me getting my memory back. She would bring pictures of my mother and my grandmother. I kept thinking, Am I paralyzed forever? Am I mute forever? It was scary shit. Faith got me through."
Khloe was the true definition of a ride or die during Lamar's recovery, but Lamar remembers the dark times in their marriage that led him there. He remembers the first time Khloe discovered he was an addict. "I was in the man cave she had made for me and she caught me [doing cocaine]. She was disappointed. So was I. The sad thing about it is, I don’t know if I was disappointed because I was actually doing the drug or because she caught me." He admits that Khloe loved him so much, she kept his drug use under wraps. "I’m not going to say she accepted it because that would be the wrong word. Tolerated would be a better word."
Lamar's bad habit didn't just involved drugs. Cheating was not only a factor in their failed marriage, but also a sympton of the heightened fame that comes with marrying a Kardashian. "When I became Khloé Kardashian’s man and on TV, it made me look more enticing...B-tches and THOTs came out of the woodwork."
The clean and sober Lamar that exists today credits his kids for inspiring him to enter rehab. "I think it was one of those moments on the way down. This last time I checked into rehab, I was able to stay the whole 30 days and get the most out of it."
